With the 2017 release of their debut EP, the Dallas-based hard rock duo Sweet Chaos is proving their rapid ascent within the Texas music scene is no coincidence. The young all-girl band is comprised of accomplished and extremely talented musicians. Sydney (bass guitar, lead vocals) and Payton (drums, backup vocals) have generated buzz in the music industry due to a fresh sound and hard-charging attitude that belies their ages. Combining heartfelt lyrics with an electric stage presence, audiences are left energized and wanting for more. The girls met at the School of Rock and formed the band in 2015 and are currently very proud to be working with Michelle Graves of the Dallas Observer. The band has a broad range of musical influences but have created a unique sound that is undeniably all their own. Some of their many influences include Royal Blood and Muse.
Sweet Chaos has earned recognition and achieved notable success over a very short period of time. They have shared stages with DOLL SKIN, were backup band for ACEY SLADE of JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS, and toured Texas as an indie artist before even turning 18. Their sold out headlining shows led to their debut single “IRRELEVANT” being added to playlists on major active rock/market indicator station KEGL 97.1 FM in Dallas in addition to 89.9 FM Pop Roxx Radio, Rock Rage Radio, Canada Rage Radio and Deep Dallas Radio. The band received the MXD Rock and Metal 2016 Rising Talent in Texas Award and the duo was honored again in 2017 by MXD Mag by receiving individual awards for Best Rising Talent in Texas Bass Guitarist and Drummer, respectively. They have performed at prestigious venues Trees, House of Blues, Three Links and Curtain Club. They performed in a large festival settings at the Breast Cancer Can Stick It Foundation fundraising concerts at Kyle Warren Park in Dallas. The band recorded a single at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis, "the birthplace of rock and roll" and have recently wrapped up studio time recording new original songs!
Sweet Chaos has been added to the Ernie Ball Artist Roster and Payton proudly endorses both Pearl Drums and TRX Cymbals.
